SANIBEL/CAPTIVA – a little slice of heaven!

Everyone has a place where they go to escape all the pressures and worries of life.

There is always that one spot that can mellow all your problems and soothe troubles in times of stress.

For me, Sanibel/Captiva Island are the ultimate cure to all of my problems. While I am there, all of my obligations suddenly vanish.

It is a beautiful island lined with magnificent trees, homes I could only dream of owning, active wildlife and the most mesmerizing oceans with white sand beaches.

I have been to many tropical islands where the water is so clear you can see miles under the ocean – but growing up this is where my grandparents lived and I have my most fondest memories.

Feeling the soft smooth sand beneath my feet. Taking in the soothing atmosphere that encircled me, closing my eyes, letting myself absorb the warming rays of the sun on each perfect day.

I am comforted by the sounds of the ocean; the rhythmic pounding of the waves seem to repress all of my concerns.

I can look into the cloudless blue sky and see the perfection of life.

I’ve been trying to plan a vacation and I think I am going to head that direction for a nice long weekend get-away.

About Hiding2014-2016

2016 Life is what it is and you just have to get through it. 2014 I started blogging just a short time ago, it actually feels good. I've made some new friends and soliciting feedback from others who have experienced similar life events helps me to not feel so alone. So we all have bumps in the road, we make poor decisions - we are only human. It is these life experiences who make us who we are today. There is no need to have regret, just move forward. Ok, easier said than done, because as you read my profile, sometimes I take a step forward and then two steps back.

It’s true, the beach fixes everything.
