Roll-A-Rama

I slipped my skates on, held my breath and then went for it!  I’m not in the shape I used to be, or in the practice but it was like riding a bike.  Once you learn you never forget!  I held on to the wall and eased my way around the first time while these little kids were whizzing by me.

There really is nothing like roller skating around the rink and feeling the air brush through your hair.  Plus, it is was great exercise, I almost felt like I was skiing my quads burned so bad… ha ha.   It was nice to see so many parents out there with their kids, it almost made ME feel like a kid again!

After a few times around, I started to get a little braver…  pumped it up and flew past those little kids…  hit the wall to stop, but HEY, I had the time of my life!  Just what the doctor ordered.  Was even thinking about buying a pair of skates to roll on down to the seawall…  maybe some leg warmers and a big set of ear phones…then it will really be like the old days!

About Hiding2014-2016

2016 Life is what it is and you just have to get through it. 2014 I started blogging just a short time ago, it actually feels good. I've made some new friends and soliciting feedback from others who have experienced similar life events helps me to not feel so alone. So we all have bumps in the road, we make poor decisions - we are only human. It is these life experiences who make us who we are today. There is no need to have regret, just move forward. Ok, easier said than done, because as you read my profile, sometimes I take a step forward and then two steps back.
